who we are

Elizabeth (Beth) A. Bryant

For more than 25 years, I have practiced law in the areas of estate planning and probate. Having worked with well over 1,500 clients, I have encountered almost every issue and solution necessary to address the needs of married and unmarried families and individuals. I have been humbled by being honored by my peers, and even more so, by my clients. It has been and continues to be a privilege to work with persons who deeply desire to ensure that their loved ones, and special causes about which they care, are the beneficiaries of the assets they have to share upon their death.

My area of law encompasses a great deal of emotion and, sometimes, much stress. It is my intent and belief that I help my clients address asset protection and distribution issues with caring, wisdom and professional savvy which results in a much more confident and planned approach for resolving the transference of wealth from their possession to others.

Since I started practicing law in Colorado in 2000, I have focused my practice on estate and tax planning and probate and trust administration.  I am committed to furnishing individuals and families with a wide range of estate, charitable, and transfer tax planning advice to achieve their legacy goals.

My lifework is to provide individualized and comprehensive legal strategies to protect the personal interests and assets of my clients.  Whether developing an estate plan for a couple with young children or assisting a client recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, I offer each client the information necessary to make educated decisions and work with the client to draft estate planning documents tailored to the client's particular situation.

I also advise individual and professional fiduciaries regarding the legal, tax, and ethical issues arising in the context of estate and trust administration.  The emotions experienced after the death of a family member or friend can make handling fiduciary responsibilities challenging.  I help my fiduciary clients navigate the legal system as well as the sometimes competing interests of the various interested parties and tough family dynamics.

Since 1980, I have lived and worked in Denver, the last thirty-two years at our office on Vine Street.

Through my years in practice, I have learned the intricacies of tax law, estate planning and probate administration.  I have enjoyed working with so many wonderful clients in creating estate plans tailored to their individual needs that efficiently accomplish their goals and are sensitive of their resources.  I have seen many important advancements in estate planning over the years.  I have also seen popular fads that can be expensive and possibly risky for clients. I know the difference between the two and can help advise my clients as they make wise choices.  I have also had the privilege of assisting families in the difficult time after the death of a loved one to make possibly confusing transitions as smooth and worry-free as possible.

I have worked throughout my career to help improve trust and estate law and practice in Colorado.  I have had the privilege to be a member of the community of trust and estate planning attorneys in Colorado and nationally.  We discuss and help each other with the complexities of 21st century state and federal laws and regulations governing estate planning and also develop best practices for the rest of the legal community.  This work allows me to provide higher quality estate planning services to my clients.

To me, success is understanding my client’s concerns; explaining their estate planning options; working to formulate the best solution for each individual’s concerns; and helping my clients to fully understand and be completely satisfied with their plans.
